Appeal a decision or make a complaint

Use this form if we took down something you posted, warned you, or suspended or closed your account, and you think we got it wrong. You can also use it to complain about how we handle reports, about our automatic advert check, or about how we protect privacy and freedom of expression. A person at OpenStaff looks at the decision again. Where we can, it is someone who did not make it. We tell you the outcome and the reasons for it.

Your email address

So that we can tell you the outcome. If your appeal is about your account and you give its appeal code, we reply to the account's own email address.

Your account reference (if you have one)

It is in the email we sent you about the decision, after "Your account reference".

Your appeal code (if you have one)

It is in the same email, after "Your appeal code". If we closed your account, give it with the account reference: if the account has not been erased yet, we keep it while we decide your appeal.
